Posts that were removed after publishing

What it is

Sometimes a post goes out, gets views, and then disappears from the platform — Instagram or Facebook took it down, or someone deleted or archived it. We now notice when a post you published through us is no longer there, and mark it Removed from Instagram (or Facebook) on your calendar instead of leaving it as plain "Published".

Telling us why

When something is waiting for an answer, Removed posts appears in your sidebar with a count. For each post, pick what happened:

  • The platform removed it — and, if you know, the reason they gave (nudity, sexual solicitation, copyright or music, spam and so on)
  • We deleted it
  • We archived or hid it
  • Not sure

Answering is optional and never affects your posts. It helps the compliance checker learn what actually gets taken down, so it can warn you about similar content before it goes out.

How to find out what happened

  • In the Instagram app: Settings → Account Status lists anything Instagram removed, and why.
  • Your Activity → Recently deleted lists anything deleted from the account in the last 30 days — and lets you restore it.

The weekly email

If your workspace has a creator email set (on the Hub), the creator gets one email a week listing the removed posts, with a link to answer them — no login needed. The link works for 14 days.

Good to know

  • This covers Instagram and Facebook for now.
  • We only ask about posts from the last 30 days, and only ones the compliance checker had rated safe for that platform — those are the surprises it needs to learn from. Posts it had already flagged are still marked removed on your calendar, we just don't ask.
  • If a removed post comes back (for example you unarchive it, or a removal is reversed), it drops off the list by itself within a week.
  • We never remove posts from Instagram ourselves — our connection to Instagram cannot delete posts.
